MHADA Completes 328 EWS Homes Under PMAY in Bolinj, Virar, Expands Affordable Housing in Palghar

PMAY Housing Project Provides Planned 1BHK Homes for Eligible Families

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has completed 328 Economically Weaker Section (EWS) homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) at Bolinj in Virar, Palghar district. The project is aimed at improving access to affordable and well-planned housing for eligible families in the region.

Located at Survey No. 392/1/A in Bolinj, Virar, Taluka Vasai, the housing project has been developed on a turnkey basis. The completed development consists of two residential buildings with a total of 328 EWS homes.

MHADA’s Affordable 1BHK Homes With Essential Facilities in Bolinj

Each home offers a carpet area of around 29.99 square meters, equivalent to approximately 322.81 square feet. The homes have been designed as 1BHK units with essential spaces, including a bedroom, multipurpose room or hall, kitchen, toilet and bathroom.

The layout provides families with a practical living space while supporting the broader objective of creating organized and affordable residential communities under PMAY.

Occupancy Certificate Received for Completed Project

The Bolinj housing project has been fully completed, with the Occupancy Certificate (OC) received on February 29, 2024. The completion adds 328 affordable homes to the residential housing supply in the Virar and Palghar region.

MHADA's ongoing housing initiatives continue to focus on creating planned residential developments that can provide eligible families with access to secure and affordable homes. Under the leadership of IAS Sanjeev Jaiswal, MHADA has continued to focus on housing development and redevelopment initiatives across Maharashtra.

Rainwater Harvesting Included in the Development

The project also includes facilities designed to support the long-term needs of residents. A dedicated society office has been provided in each building to help manage residential administration and community activities.

Rainwater harvesting has also been incorporated into the project. This feature supports better water management and adds a sustainable element to the residential development.

Bolinj Project Strengthens Affordable Housing in Virar

The completion of 328 EWS homes at Bolinj represents another step toward expanding affordable housing opportunities in Palghar district. The project combines planned residential spaces with essential community facilities and sustainable features.

The Bolinj development also contributes to the growth of organized housing infrastructure in Virar, giving eligible families an opportunity to access affordable homes through the PMAY framework.
