Strong Demand for CIDCO Homes in Taloja, Kharghar and Kalamboli

CIDCO’s August 2026 housing scheme has received a strong response, with more than 4,180 applicants confirming their participation for 4,779 affordable homes in Navi Mumbai. The homes are being offered in Taloja, Kharghar and Kalamboli, three areas that have seen rapid growth in housing, infrastructure and connectivity.

The scheme focuses on affordable housing for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category, giving eligible citizens an opportunity to own a home in planned urban areas of Navi Mumbai.

CIDCO Housing Scheme Opened on August 15

The housing scheme was launched on August 15, 2026, and applications remained open until September 3. The number of confirmed applicants highlights the continued demand for reasonably priced housing options in Navi Mumbai.

CIDCO Vice Chairman and Managing Director Ashwin Mudgal said the response reflects the aspirations of citizens who want to own homes in Navi Mumbai. He also said CIDCO will continue working to provide affordable and quality housing in well-planned locations.

According to Mudgal, better infrastructure and connectivity in the region are also making these locations attractive to homebuyers.

Draft Lottery List Published on September 4

CIDCO published the draft list of applicants on the CIDCO Homes portal on September 4. Applicants who find any issue with the draft list can submit objections until September 8.

After reviewing the objections, CIDCO is scheduled to release the final list of eligible participants on September 10.

Applicants are advised to check the official housing portal and follow the announced schedule for updates about the lottery process.

PMAY-U Beneficiaries Can Get Up to Rs 2.5 Lakh Subsidy

Eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) may also receive a housing subsidy of up to Rs 2.5 lakh until September 2026, subject to the applicable rules and eligibility conditions.

The subsidy can further reduce the financial burden for eligible EWS homebuyers and support the goal of making home ownership more accessible.

Taloja, Kharghar and Kalamboli Continue to Grow

The latest CIDCO housing scheme comes as Taloja, Kharghar and Kalamboli continue to develop as important residential areas in Navi Mumbai. Improvements in roads, public transport, social infrastructure and regional connectivity have increased interest in these locations.
