Enviro Infra Subsidiary Wins ₹228 Crore Wind Power Project in Maharashtra

Enviro Infra Engineers Limited is strengthening its presence in India's renewable energy sector as its subsidiary, Suyog Urja Limited (SUL), has secured a ₹228 crore contract to develop a 100 MW wind power project in Maharashtra.

Suyog Urja Limited Secures 100 MW Wind Energy EPC Contract in Latur, Expanding Enviro Infra Engineers’ Renewable Energy Portfolio

According to a regulatory filing, Suyog Urja has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Arie Energy LLP for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the project at Ajani, in Shirur Anantpal taluka of Latur district. The project is scheduled for completion by July 31, 2027.

The latest contract adds to the company's growing renewable energy order book and supports its expansion into wind power infrastructure.

Enviro Infra Expands Its Renewable Energy Business

Enviro Infra Engineers, which operates in the water and wastewater treatment sector, entered the wind energy segment earlier this year by acquiring a controlling stake in Suyog Urja Limited through its subsidiary, EIE Renewables Pvt. Ltd.

Under the acquisition arrangement, Enviro secured an initial 51% stake in Suyog Urja. The remaining 49% stake is scheduled to be acquired in phases over 27 months.

The move allows Enviro to expand beyond its core water infrastructure business and build a stronger presence in the renewable energy market.

Earlier ₹224.19 Crore Wind Power Order From Tata Power Renewable Energy

Suyog Urja has also secured a separate ₹224.19 crore EPC contract from Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) for a 180 MW wind power project linked to NTPC at Parli, Maharashtra.

The project is scheduled for execution by March 31, 2027. It includes several key components required to establish and operate the wind power infrastructure.

The scope of work covers wind turbine generators (WTGs), balance of plant (BoP) infrastructure, and a 33 kV transmission line. It also includes civil foundation work for 58 wind turbine generators, along with reinforcement steel and geotechnical requirements.

Other responsibilities include developing a secure storage yard spread across 39 acres, coordinating right-of-way arrangements for transporting equipment, and building permanent and temporary roads, pathways, and crane pads.

The project also covers the construction and commissioning of the 33 kV transmission line.

Maharashtra Projects Strengthen Enviro's Wind Energy Presence

With the new ₹228 crore contract and the earlier ₹224.19 crore order, Suyog Urja is building a stronger project pipeline in Maharashtra's wind energy sector.

These contracts highlight Enviro Infra Engineers' strategy to expand its renewable energy business through specialized infrastructure projects. As demand for clean energy infrastructure continues to grow, the company's entry into wind power EPC services creates an additional avenue for business expansion.

The latest order further strengthens Suyog Urja's role in Enviro's renewable energy plans, with both projects contributing to the development of wind power infrastructure in Maharashtra.
