Haryana Bhavan in Navi Mumbai, Maratha Memorial in Panipat

Proposals for a Haryana Bhavan in Navi Mumbai and a Maratha War Memorial in Panipat aim to bring Maharashtra and Haryana closer through stronger business, cultural and historical connections.

Haryana Bhavan Proposed in Navi Mumbai

A proposal has been made to provide a plot through the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) for the construction of a Haryana Bhavan in Navi Mumbai. The facility could offer accommodation and other support to traders, business visitors and residents from Haryana who travel to Maharashtra for work and commercial activities.

The proposal was raised by former Navi Mumbai Deputy Mayor Anil Kaushik during a program attended by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at Hotel Taj in Mumbai on August 23. Haryana Industries Minister Rao Narbir Singh and several hundred traders were also present at the event.

Kaushik said the Haryana Bhavan could become a useful center for people from Haryana visiting Navi Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra. It could also encourage more business connections between the two states.

Annual Panipat Festival Also Suggested

The proposal also calls for an annual Panipat Festival in Panipat. The event would highlight the region's rich history and cultural links with Maharashtra.

Such a festival could provide a platform for cultural programs, trade activities and public events while helping younger generations learn more about the historical relationship between the two states.

Maratha War Memorial Planned for Panipat

Another key proposal is the creation of a Maratha War Memorial and Shaurya Sthal in Panipat. The memorial would honor the courage and sacrifices of Maratha soldiers who fought in the historic battles of Panipat.

The proposed site could serve as an important place for remembering the role of Maratha forces in Indian history. It could also help visitors better understand the historical connections between Maharashtra and Haryana.

Focus on Trade, Culture and Shared History

The three initiatives, including the Haryana Bhavan, Panipat Festival and Maratha War Memorial, are aimed at building stronger relations between Maharashtra and Haryana.

The proposals could support greater trade and business cooperation while creating more opportunities for cultural exchange and tourism. They also seek to preserve shared historical memories and encourage stronger people-to-people connections between the two states.
