MHADA Lokshahi Din: 21st Session to Address Complaints
Sat Sep 12 2026
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) will conduct its 21st Lokshahi Din on September 17, 2026, from 12 noon at its headquarters in Bandra East, Mumbai. The program will be chaired by MHADA Vice President and Chief Executive Officer Shri Sanjeev Jaiswal, IAS, and will provide citizens with an opportunity to present eligible grievances directly to the administration.
The September session has been rescheduled from the usual second Monday of the month because September 14 is a public holiday for Ganesh Chaturthi. Since January 2024, MHADA has been conducting Lokshahi Din at its headquarters to provide a direct and transparent platform for addressing public complaints and applications.
Under Shri Jaiswal’s chairmanship, 20th Lokshahi Din sessions have been completed so far. The initiative has helped officials review citizen complaints directly, address pending matters and improve the speed and transparency of grievance redressal. The status of action taken on complaints received during earlier sessions is also reviewed before each new program.
Citizens who wish to participate must submit their grievance in the prescribed Lokshahi Din format, along with two copies, at least 15 days before the session. The application form is available on MHADA’s official website under the “For Citizens - Lokshahi Din” section.
Only personal grievances that meet the prescribed requirements will be considered. Matters pending before courts, revenue or appeal proceedings, service and establishment issues, incomplete applications, repeated complaints on the same matter, and cases that have already received a final response or are currently being processed will not be considered under Lokshahi Din. Applications that are not eligible will instead be forwarded to the appropriate department within eight days for further action, with a copy provided to the applicant.
Through this initiative, MHADA continues to strengthen direct communication between citizens and the administration while promoting a more transparent, accountable and responsive grievance redressal system.
