MHADA Pune Lottery Gets 44,531 Applications With Deposit

Strong Response to 4,462 MHADA Pune Homes

The MHADA Pune Board 2026 housing lottery is receiving a strong response, with 44,531 applicants having submitted their applications along with the required deposit for 4,462 available homes.

The application process, which was originally scheduled to close on September 15, has now been extended until October 15. The extension gives more interested homebuyers additional time to complete their applications and submit the deposit.

Over 82,000 People Have Applied for MHADA Pune Homes

As of 1 p.m. Wednesday, a total of 82,223 applicants had started the application process for the 4,462 homes. Of these, 44,531 applicants had completed their applications by submitting the required deposit.

Only applications submitted with the deposit will be considered for the computerized lottery. With the extended deadline, the number of confirmed applications is expected to increase further.

MHADA Pune Board officials are closely monitoring the application process, with Sanjeev Jaiswal overseeing the broader housing authority's efforts to make affordable housing opportunities available to eligible citizens.

Application Deadline Extended to October 15

The Pune Board launched the registration, application and acceptance process on August 14. The initial deadline was September 15, but the board extended the timeline after applicants reported technical difficulties while completing their forms.

The application process also saw slower activity during the Ganeshotsav period. To give applicants more time, the Pune Board extended the deadline to October 15.

The extension provides applicants who have not yet completed their applications with additional time to finish the process and pay the required deposit.

MHADA Pune Lottery Draw Scheduled for November 25

The extension has also changed the lottery schedule. The draw was originally planned for October 13, but it will now be conducted on November 25.

Applicants who have completed their forms and submitted the deposit will be eligible to participate in the computerized draw.

44,531 Deposited Applications Show Strong Demand

The current figures highlight the demand for affordable housing through the MHADA Pune Board lottery. With 44,531 applications already submitted with deposits for 4,462 homes, the number of eligible applications is substantially higher than the number of available houses.

The Pune Board expects the number of deposited applications to continue rising before the October 15 deadline. Officials are also expecting the total to potentially reach one lakh deposited applications if the current response continues.

For applicants who have already submitted their forms but have not yet paid the deposit, completing the payment within the deadline will be important for participation in the lottery.
