The latest achievement comes just days after the previous record of 3,70,047 passengers was set on July 15. This is the sixth time in the last 33 days that the metro network has registered a new daily ridership record. Mumbai Metro Sees Continuous Rise In Passenger Numbers

The steady increase in metro ridership shows that more people are choosing metro services for their daily travel. According to Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Ltd, earlier records were also set on several occasions in recent weeks.

The network carried 3,68,422 passengers on July 14, followed by 3,65,845 passengers on July 9. Before that, ridership reached 3,58,115 on June 23 and 3,57,895 on June 19. The latest figure of more than 3.73 lakh passengers has now become the highest daily ridership recorded by the network.

Transport experts believe that the growing number of operational metro corridors and better connectivity between key residential and commercial areas have encouraged more commuters to shift from road transport to metro services.
