CM Devendra Fadnavis Praises Mumbai Municipal School Students for Developing Innovative Apps
Sneh Asha Foundation’s Digital Lab Showcases Student Creativity, With Young Learners Building Apps in Just One Month.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praised the creativity and technical skills of students from a Mumbai municipal school after seeing mobile and computer applications developed by the students themselves. During his visit to the digital literacy lab established by Sneh Asha Foundation at Bhavani Shankar CBSE Municipal School in Dadar, the Chief Minister encouraged students to explore technology and make the most of the opportunities available in the digital world.
CM Fadnavis Impressed by an App Developed in One Month
During the visit, a student demonstrated an application developed as part of the school's digital learning program. The Chief Minister asked how long it had taken to build the app. When the student said it took just one month, Fadnavis expressed his appreciation for the achievement.
He also interacted with other students, learned about their projects, and encouraged them to explore new possibilities in technology. Sharing the message of “Kar Lo Duniya Mutthi Mein” (Make the World Yours), he inspired the young learners to build their skills, think creatively, and take advantage of emerging digital opportunities.
Student-Developed Apps Highlight Innovation and Technical Skills
The digital literacy lab has given students a platform to turn their ideas into practical technology projects. Three applications developed by the students attracted particular attention during the visit.
- Terra 3D: This application allows users to explore a virtual representation of Earth and learn about different countries around the world.
- F.R.I.D.A.Y.: This app is based on the concept of using artificial intelligence to simplify various computer-related tasks.
- Cereal: Designed to support office meetings, this application includes features related to meeting assistance and audio recording.
Yashraj Jadhav, Aryaman Jadhav, Sameeksha Kontham, Akshara Bangar, Neil Badri, Ansh Patil, and Aarush Wangari contributed to the development of these applications. Their projects demonstrate how access to digital tools and practical learning can help students develop technical knowledge, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Sneh Asha Foundation Expands Digital Learning Opportunities
Siddhi Chauhan Jaiswal, founder and president of Sneh Asha Foundation, welcomed Chief Minister Fadnavis during his visit. She explained that the foundation's digital literacy program provides students from municipal and government schools with modern computer education and opportunities to apply their knowledge through practical activities.
Jaiswal highlighted the potential of students who receive the right guidance and resources.
She said the students had demonstrated that children attending municipal schools can achieve significant progress in technology when they receive the right opportunities. She added that computer education is only the first step, and the foundation aims to encourage children to develop their ideas, experiment with new concepts, and move forward with confidence.
She also noted that the Chief Minister's interaction and appreciation would motivate the students to continue learning and developing their skills.
Digital Literacy Lab Focuses on Practical Learning
The digital literacy lab at Bhavani Shankar CBSE Municipal School goes beyond basic computer education. It encourages students to understand how technology can solve everyday problems and helps them develop creative thinking, practical knowledge, and confidence.
The program aims to prepare students with limited access to digital education for future opportunities in technology-driven fields. By giving them opportunities to create their own projects, the initiative helps young learners move from simply using digital tools to understanding how they can build useful applications.
