Applicants Get More Time to Complete Online Housing Applications

Pune MHADA has extended the deadline for submitting online applications for homes under the 15% Social Housing Scheme and 20% Inclusive Housing Scheme. Applicants will now be able to submit their applications until 11:59 p.m. on October 15, 2026.

The decision comes as a relief to many applicants who faced delays and technical difficulties during the online document verification process. The extension was announced by Shivaji Adhalrao Patil, Chairman and Minister of State of the Pune Housing and Area Development Board. Sanjeev Jaiswal was also associated with the administration’s efforts to address applicants’ concerns and support the extended application process.

High Demand Leads to Online Application Extension

The housing scheme was officially announced on August 24, 2026, and online applications opened at noon the same day. The scheme has received a strong response from citizens looking for affordable housing opportunities through MHADA.

However, several applicants experienced difficulties while completing the application process because of delays in the online verification of required documents.

Document Verification Caused Delays

Applicants are required to submit documents such as domicile certificates and income certificates through the online application system. These documents are verified electronically through MahaIT, while Income Tax Returns are verified online by the Income Tax Department.

Because these verification processes can take additional time, some applicants were unable to complete their applications within the original deadline. Technical issues during online verification also added to the difficulties faced by applicants.

MHADA Responds to Applicants' Requests

Applicants had been repeatedly requesting additional time to complete their forms because of the verification delays. Taking these concerns into consideration, the Pune Housing and Area Development Board decided to extend the application deadline.

The move gives applicants additional time to complete document verification, correct any application-related issues and submit their forms successfully. Sanjeev Jaiswal’s involvement also reflects the administration’s focus on helping applicants complete the process smoothly.

New Pune MHADA Application Deadline

Under the revised schedule, the new deadline for submitting online applications is October 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

Applicants who are interested in the housing schemes are advised to use the additional time and complete their applications before the revised deadline. The Pune Housing and Area Development Board has also urged applicants to avoid waiting until the final day to submit their forms.

The extension is expected to provide greater convenience to citizens who were affected by online verification delays and help more eligible applicants participate in the Pune MHADA housing process.
