Pune MHADA Lottery Gets Huge Response as 97,701 Apply for 4,462 Affordable Homes
Strong Demand for Affordable Homes in Pune Region
The demand for affordable housing continues to remain strong in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) areas. More than 97,000 people have applied for the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority - MHADA lottery offering 4,462 homes.
A total of 97,701 applications have been submitted so far. With many applicants facing delays in completing online document verification, MHADA has extended the application deadline by one month, giving prospective homebuyers additional time to complete the process.
MHADA Pune Lottery 2026 Application Deadline Extended
According to MHADA Chief Officer Rahul Sakore, the earlier deadline for applications under the 15% Social Housing Scheme and 20% Comprehensive Housing Scheme was September 15.
The deadline has now been extended to midnight on October 15, 2026. Applicants will therefore have additional time to submit their forms and complete the required procedures.
So far, 52,276 applicants have paid the required deposit, generating more than Rs 1.62 crore in deposits for MHADA.
4,462 Homes Available Across Pune Region
The homes included in the lottery are spread across three major areas, providing housing opportunities to families in different parts of the Pune region.
- Pune Municipal Corporation area: 1,468 homes
- Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation area: 1,406 homes
- PMRDA area: 1,588 homes
The large number of applications shows the continued interest in MHADA housing among families looking for more affordable homeownership opportunities.
Key MHADA Pune Lottery 2026 Dates
Applicants should keep the revised schedule in mind to avoid missing any important stage of the lottery process.
The deadline for paying the deposit is 11:59 p.m. on October 15. Applicants making payments through RTGS or NEFT will have time until 3 p.m. on October 16.
MHADA will publish the draft eligible list on November 12 at 7 p.m. Applicants can submit claims and objections until 5 p.m. on November 14.
The final eligible list will be released on November 20 at 7 p.m. The MHADA lottery draw, or Maha-Sodat, is scheduled for November 26 at 11 a.m., while the list of winners will be published at 6 p.m. on the same day.
