Special Yoga and Sound Meditation Session Highlights the Importance of Daily Wellness

Marking the 12th International Yoga Day, SRMD Wellness organized a special yoga and sound meditation session at Gamdevi, bringing together community members, wellness supporters and public leaders to celebrate the power of yoga in everyday life.

Held in line with this year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” the event focused on encouraging people to adopt yoga as a way to maintain physical fitness, mental strength and emotional wellbeing at every stage of life.

Public Leaders Join SRMD Wellness in Celebrating the Spirit of Yoga

The event was hosted by Maharashtra’s Minister for Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Mangal Prabhat Lodha. Member of Parliament and former Union Minister Anurag Thakur attended the programme as the chief guest.

The gathering reflected a shared commitment towards spreading awareness about healthy living and making wellness practices more accessible to communities.

Yoga for Healthy Ageing: A Step Towards Better Health and Balanced Living

The celebration formed part of SRMD Wellness’ larger International Yoga Day outreach initiative being conducted across different locations globally. The campaign includes yoga demonstrations, wellness workshops, community engagement activities and awareness programmes.

The central message of this year’s celebrations focused on how regular yoga practice can support healthier ageing by improving flexibility, reducing stress and helping individuals maintain emotional balance.

“Half an Hour Every Day Can Make a Difference,” Says Anurag Thakur

Speaking at the event, Anurag Thakur repeated the message, “Fitness ka dose, half an hour, har roz,” encouraging people to include yoga in their daily routine.

He appreciated the wellness vision of SRMD Wellness under the guidance of Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji and acknowledged the efforts of the organization in promoting a healthier lifestyle through yoga and meditation programmes.

Thakur also praised the session conducted by SRMD Wellness Global Head, Atmarpit Dr Mansiji.

Yoga Can Create Positive Change in Individuals and Society

Addressing participants, Dr Mansiji said yoga is more than a physical exercise and can become a path towards complete wellbeing and personal transformation.

She emphasized that International Yoga Day serves as an opportunity to take yoga beyond organized events and encourage every household to make it a regular habit.

According to her, when individuals adopt healthier lifestyles, the benefits extend to families, communities and society as a whole.
