Thane Mega Job Drive: 37 Centres to Host Recruitment Event

Employment Campaign to Connect Job Seekers With Private Companies Across Thane District

The Maharashtra Government is set to organize a major employment drive across Thane district on September 29, giving job seekers an opportunity to connect directly with private-sector companies and explore new career opportunities.

The Department of Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship will conduct employment fairs and placement activities at 37 centers across Thane district. The drive will begin at 10 a.m. and is part of a larger employment campaign being held across 230 locations in the Konkan division.

Job Drive Focuses on Youth Employment

The campaign is being organized under the theme “Yuva Shakti is Rashtra Shakti”, highlighting the role of young people in the state's economic development.

The employment drive is designed to help educated unemployed youth and other job seekers meet potential employers, learn about available vacancies and participate directly in recruitment and placement processes.

Candidates will be able to visit their designated centers, interact with participating companies and learn more about employment opportunities suited to their skills and qualifications.

37 Centres Across Thane District

The mega job drive will take place at centers located across Thane, Navi Mumbai, Kalyan, Bhiwandi, Badlapur, Shahapur, Murbad, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath and other parts of the district.

The designated venues include Thane Belapur Industrial Association in Rabale, Government Polytechnic College in Mumbra, B.K. Birla College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Kalyan, Terna Engineering College in Nerul, K.G. Joshi College of Arts and N.G. Bedekar College of Commerce in Thane, Government Industrial Training Institutes in Belapur, Wagle Estate, Ulhasnagar and Ambernath, along with several educational institutions, skill centers and community organizations.

Other participating venues include Takiya Amani Shah Private ITI in Bhiwandi, Lighthouse Community Foundation at the Thane Collectorate, Balasaheb Mhatre Technical Education College in Badlapur West, Atma Malik Institute of Technology and Research in Shahapur, Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University Kopri Industrial Training Institute in Thane East, Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering in Koparkhairane and Terna Medical College in Nerul.

The drive will also be held at institutions such as Vidya Prasarak Mandal Engineering College, B.N. Bandodkar College of Science, Indira Gandhi College of Engineering, Rajiv Gandhi College of Arts, Commerce and Science, and several other colleges and training institutes.

Employers and Job Seekers Encouraged to Participate

Ravindra More, Assistant Commissioner of the District Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Centre in Thane, has appealed to private-sector employers and job seekers to take part in the employment drive.

The initiative is expected to create a direct meeting point for companies looking to recruit and candidates seeking employment. By bringing employers and applicants together at multiple locations, the campaign aims to make recruitment more accessible to young people across Thane district.

Wider Konkan Employment Campaign

The Thane initiative forms part of a wider Konkan division employment campaign, with job fairs and placement activities planned simultaneously at 230 locations.
