Vishwamangalya Sabha Holds First Janpratinidhi Matru Sammelan in Mumbai to Highlight Women’s Leadership
Women Leaders and Public Representatives’ Families Gather to Discuss Stronger Families, Social Values and Nation Building
Mumbai witnessed the first Janpratinidhi Matru Sammelan, organized by Vishwamangalya Sabha at the Y B Chavan Centre in Nariman Point. The event brought together around 150 women elected representatives and wives of public representatives from different parts of Maharashtra.
The convention focused on the theme “Stree – Parivar Ki Shakti Se Leke, Rashtra Ki Shakti Tak,” highlighting the important role women play in families, public life and the wider development of society.
The gathering also recognized the contribution of women who balance family responsibilities with public and social commitments.
Prominent Women Leaders Attend Mumbai Convention
The event was attended by several prominent personalities, including Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse, BJP MLC Chitra Wagh, social worker Manju Lodha, Mafatlal Industries Director Rupal Mafatlal and Colaba corporator Harshita Narvekar.
The presence of women leaders, elected representatives and social workers provided an opportunity to discuss the changing role of women in public life and community development.
Ritu Tawde Highlights Women’s Contribution to Public Life
Addressing the gathering, Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde spoke about the dedication of women who manage public responsibilities while continuing to support their families and communities.
She also recognized the contribution of wives, mothers and sisters in political families. Their support often helps public representatives manage their responsibilities and remain connected with social causes.
Raksha Khadse Emphasizes Strong Families and Positive Values
Union Minister of State Raksha Khadse highlighted the influence women can have in creating positive change within families and communities.
She said that building a strong generation starts at home and that this message should reach every section of society. She also noted that development should not be measured only through infrastructure and economic growth.
According to Khadse, strong families, positive values and responsible citizens are equally important for creating a progressive and harmonious society.
Chitra Wagh Calls Family the First School of Life
BJP MLC Chitra Wagh emphasized the role of families in developing values and shaping future generations. She described the family as the first school where children learn important lessons about life, responsibility and relationships.
Wagh also called for similar women-focused conventions to be organized across Maharashtra so that more women can participate, share their experiences and strengthen community connections.
Manju Lodha Highlights the Role of Mothers
Social worker and Lodha Foundation president Manju Lodha spoke about the important role mothers play in shaping the next generation.
She emphasized that motherhood goes beyond caring for children. Mothers also help develop their children's values, confidence, character and understanding of the world.
Vishwamangalya Sabha Plans Wider Women-Centric Outreach
Dr. Vrushali Joshi of Vishwamangalya Sabha said the organization plans to expand its outreach and connect with more women across India.
She explained that the organization's initiatives are focused on social development rather than politics. Its efforts aim to strengthen families, promote positive values and encourage women to make meaningful contributions to society.
